Test Analyst

We are seeking a test professional to join the global Service Delivery and Testing Department based in Malaysia. This role will see you working on leading edge projects with a team of professionals in Malaysia and Germany as well as business stakeholders across the globe in creating innovative IT solutions for GfK users worldwide. Test Analyst Kuala Lumpur Responsibilities: Understand, plan and implement test approach and test strategy within the defined requirement scope, timelines and quality standard. Develop, update and execute software test cases as well as assist with analysis and development of test methodology and procedures. Perform integration testing, functional testing, system testing, regression testing, minimum software and hardware requirements testing, software usability testing, load testing and performance testing on the software deliverables. Perform review on the test cases written by peers to ensure that all the requirements, functional specifications and non-functional specifications are covered in the test cases. Capture and keep track all defects found during testing process, work with the development team to resolve those defects in a timely manner, and perform retest after defect resolution. Assist software developers in analyzing the logic flaws of functional design and technical design that contributing to the software defects. Perform initial investigation into the defects found during different stages of testing phase and prepare findings in a structured and qualitative way before routing to functional designer, technical lead and software developers for further inspection. Inform the QA Manager of any issues that may affect the schedule, budget, or quality of the software deliverables or the testing process. Stay abreast of the latest software testing methodologies and tools to ensure the highest level of expertise. Requirements: Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or any IT-related discipline. Excellent PL/SQL skills, ideally Oracle 10g/11g. Familiar with the Microsoft Team Foundation Server / HP Quality Center/ Bugzilla or other equivalent software defect tracking tools. Familiar with Microsoft Test Manager / Microsoft Visual Studio Test Professional. Experience in the testing of complex software systems. Knowledge of load test and performance test on Web application will be an added advantage. Knowledge of automation testing of Silverlight Web application is an added advantage. Experience in testing mobile applications in Windows 8 tablet is an added advantage. Exposure to AGILE Software Development methodology (i.e. SCRUM) is a plus. Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards. Ability to maintain a positive, motivational, "get things done” attitude. Prepared to take ownership of issues and responsibility for actions. Good communication skills with excellent command of written and spoken English language. Able to work independently with minimum supervision. Remuneration will commensurate with your background and experience.
